Full Heart Dentistry is committed to the wellbeing of its patients, its staff and their families. We are also committed to the wellbeing of our community. While we exercise all the infection control precautions that are recommended by the authorities we also recognize that our profession is at very high risk. The very nature of dental procedures create aerosols that may well be contaminated coming from the mouths of infected patients. We know that patients do not know for sure if they are infected or not as symptoms may not be present for 2-14 days. During this time we know that the infectious process is very high.
We do not want to expose anyone to the coronavirus and instead would like to take action to prevent it.
We feel that the risks to our community are way too high with this ongoing pandemic to have our patients come in for regular and routine care. As hospitals and other health care providers, we will be closed for routine care. We will take it a couple of weeks at a time and call to cancel your appointments and will keep track of these.
We will contribute to the community by sacrificially closing the office temporarily for dental care other than for true emergencies. We feel this way we can help keep patients at home safe and help prevent the spread of the virus.
During this time we urge our patients to have the best possible home care as you have been taught by our dental professionals to decrease the need for unnecessary emergency care. Also please take care not to eat hard things that would further damage weak teeth that are undergoing care or are scheduled for care.
- If you are a patient of record and you have a true dental emergency and if you do not have flu like symptoms, cough, fever or shortness of breath, please call us at (585) 210-6992.
- If you have had contact with anyone that has the coronavirus or you have a cough, fever, and shortness of breath and you have a dental emergency, you will need to call your local hospital for care.
- If you are a new patient wanting an appointment or you are a patient of record needing an appointment please leave us a message we will call you back and schedule you when appropriate.
Full Heart Dentistry will be monitoring the course of this pandemic and as soon as it is safe to care for you the doors of our practice will reopen and we will resume our normal operations. In the meantime please protect yourself and your community.
May God help us all is these difficult times.
